Which route* will you take?
Each route for Meet Me in the Middle is 10km. Some routes are flat and some more challenging with hills. Which one you take is up to you, but remember to tell your friends to Meet you in the Middle.

The North route starts at Waverton Park, cnr Woolcott Street & Larkin Avenue, Waverton. After a quick loop of Balls Head Reserve, you’ll be on your way passing beautiful Balls Head Bay, historic Sawmillers Reserve and down to Blues Point. You’ll want to stop for a selfie with the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge as the backdrop. You’ll then head around Lavender Bay, past Luna Park and under the Harbour Bridge. You’re now in Kirribilli and will pass by the official Sydney residences of the Govenor General and the Prime Minister before crossing the bridge. From here cruise through The Rocks and end up at Barangaroo Reserve for the Picnic Market.
The East Route commences on the water at picturesque Steyne Park, Cnr William Street & Ocean Avenue, Double Bay. A quick climb up to Darling Point will see you descending down to Rushcutters Bay and around Potts Point to Woolomooloo. Resist the temptation for a coffee on Finger Wharf if you can, as Mrs Macquaries Chair is in your sights. As you turn the corner the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge will be revealed in front of your very eyes. A photo here is a must. Passing around the shore of Farm Cove, the Opera House, Circular Quay and under the bridge. You’re nearly at your destination Barangaroo Reserve and the Picnic Market.
Sydney Park, Sydney Park Rd, St Peters is the starting point for the South route. You’ll know you’re close when you see the historic monumental chimney towers rising to the sky. Head up King Street to Newtown then follow the route through Camperdown and before you know it you'll be in Centennial Park on Rozelle Bay. This really is one of Sydney’s best-kept secrets. The majestic Anzac Bridge appears as you walk around Blackwattle Bay heading towards Darling Harbour where you can soak up the atmosphere of this bustling harbour area. By now Barangaroo is in your sights and only a hop skip and a jump and you would have completed the 10k and be ready for the Picnic Market.
The West Route begins at Timbrell Park, Five Dock then tracks around Iron Cove known to the locals as the Bay Run. After travelling through Lilyfield you will walk over the Anzac Bridge with its towering pylons reaching proudly to the sky. Walking over this bridge is a must for any Sydneysider. You’ll then drop down to the harbour and walk around Pyrmont to Darling Harbour and over the historic Pyrmont bridge. This will lead you up the Promenade at King Street Wharf and all the way to the finish at Barangaroo Reserve for the Picnic Market.
